Control had 1.24 x 108 colony forming units/ml, tea had 1.08 x 108 colony forming units/ml while tannic acid had 0 colony forming units/ml.

Through the Kruskal-wallis test, we were able to conclude that there was a significant difference in the number of colonies formed in the three groups.

With tannic acid having 0 colony forming units, we retried colony count with 1 mg/ml tannic acid. Control had 6.34 x 108 colony forming units/ml, while 1 mg/ml tannic acid had 1.81 x 108 colony forming units/ml.

With the Mann-whitney U test, we were able to conclude that there was a significant difference between the two tests.
